INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS

Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Richard Schwartz, a transformative and evidence-based model of psychotherapy. IFS establishes techniques to effectively address different issues within the family. It assumes that each person possesses sub-personalities, or parts, that are both healthy or helpful, and unhealthy or unhelpful. Traumatic events can force us out of healthy roles, and into extreme roles. By getting to know each of these parts better, we can identify the roots of conflict, manage complications, and achieve healing. As a Level 1 Internal Family Systems therapist trained through the IFS institute, we will work together to achieve balance, harmony, and an understanding of self within your system.
